What exactly is live wedding illustration?
A unique artistic experience where I capture the essence of your guests on paper, created in real-time during your celebration.
What live illustration services are provided?
I provide a world-class live wedding illustration service, creating bespoke, fashion-forward sketches of your guests in real-time. These are completed using high quality watercolour paints, fine liner pen with finishing touches of acrylic markers.
How early should we book for our wedding?
To secure the date you want, as much time as possible is best. However, I am always happy to discuss my availability with you.
When will I receive the final sketches?
Live illustrations are completed and gifted on the wedding day, providing guests with an immediate artisanal keepsake. In some cases I may not complete all of these on the day due to amount of guest interaction and difficulty of outfits. Any not completed within the chosen package will be completed and posted to you within 6 weeks.
How many guests can you capture?
All figures in each package are based off guests illustrated and not number of illustrations. I have packages covering 30, 45 and 60 guests. Additional guests can be completed in studio for an additional amount of £10 per guest illustrated. We enforce a rule of only one illustration per guest to as many guests as possible experience our work.
What is included in each package?
Each package includes live illustration at your wedding/event. This is an A6 size piece with 1-3 guests per sheet. An A5 illustration of the happy couple is included for wedding bookings.
What is the process for securing my date?
Securing your date is straightforward: once we confirm availability, a non-refundable deposit of 20% and signed digital contract are required. The deposit comes from the total sum of package amount, travel and any other add ons.
How does the live illustration work at the venue?
All I require is a table and two chairs, with this I then set up an elegant, non-intrusive illustration station at your venue. For weddings, I arrive 30 minutes prior to the ceremony to capture images of the guests as they arrive. Then throughout the reception, I live-sketch guests in a high-fashion style, providing them with a romantic, curated keepsake to take home that very evening.
Will my guests need to stand and wait for their illustration?
No, we capture a photo of them so they can enjoy the celebration whilst I work hard to illustrate them, they then collect the completed piece from our gallery later on.
Can we request personalisation be added?
Yes! We can add names, dates or any other text. This costs £50 for the Intimate and Signature package but is included in the Premium one.
What areas do you cover?
We are based in South Wales, CF72. Travel is included up to 1 hour of travel time then 50p per mile thereafter. If travel time exceeds 2 hours accommodation costs will be factored in.
